Diablo IV launched with five classes, each offering multiple viable build paths. The Barbarian is a melee powerhouse who wields four weapons simultaneously through the Arsenal system, swapping between them for different skills. Barbarians excel at cleaving through groups with Whirlwind or delivering devastating single-target damage with skills like Hammer of the Ancients. Their Shout abilities provide powerful team buffs.
The Sorcerer channels elemental magic β fire, ice, and lightning β to devastate enemies from range. Chain Lightning bounces between targets for efficient clear, while Blizzard and Firewall create area-denial zones. The Enchantment system lets Sorcerers slot skills as passive effects rather than active abilities, adding unique build flexibility. The Rogue is a fast, agile class using daggers, swords, and bows. Rogues specialize in rapid attacks, shadow magic, traps, and poison, with Specialization mechanics like Combo Points or Inner Sight adding resource management layers.
The Druid shapeshifts between human, werewolf, and werebear forms while also commanding earth and storm magic. Companions like wolves and ravens fight alongside you. Druids are incredibly versatile, capable of tanky melee builds or devastating caster setups. The Necromancer raises undead armies, curses enemies, and manipulates bone and blood. Summoner builds field skeletons and a golem, while other Necromancer builds focus on direct damage through corpse explosions or bone skills.
Endgame builds center around synergies between your skills, Paragon boards, unique items, and Legendary Aspects. Aspects can be extracted from Legendary items and imprinted onto other gear, letting you customize your build systematically. Codex of Power unlocks baseline Aspects from dungeons, but the strongest versions only drop as random loot. Check community build guides for current meta recommendations, but don't be afraid to experiment with your own combinations.
